..the white-pencil linging and gel-pen really assist in brightening it up~ :'B and slow, even back-and-forth filling for the smoothness ^^-; (( even if it looks darker going on, when it dries, it lightens to the right shade~ & having nicer paper really helps too~!))
for colour-gradienting across larger sections *pstpst-whispers* I actually cheat n' use pencil over the top ^^-; just to give the base-shapes abit more depth |'3

*laabahbhaaaaaakghhhhh* I started typing out a reply to this some agges ago when it was fresh.. and DA ate it.. 6__9;
but ina nutshell;
-Ink the lines for the liquid/and those under it was normal ((or lighter if you have coloured ink-pens.))
-when colouring in, fill in with a 'lighter colour' than the desired area is supposed to be, leaving white edging where you can around the very edges.
-take the colour that the area underneath is supposed to be and only use it sparingly in small patches/dots and lining~
-use a very pale blue/grey to give the liquid abit more 'shape'
then white-gelpen some highlight shines from your light source :'> ((in big bubbley, trail-y lines so it carries that 'wet'look ^____^ ))

The colors are so vibrant and the shading is amazing! You did a fantastic job! I really like how you inked it in colors, rather than just straight black lines. Absolutely gorgeous!

Indeed! I'm a big fan. Inking is always my least favorite thing to do, so maybe one day I'll get brave and try and do it in color and see how that works.
