12" x 24" Oil on canvasThe house was built in 2008 when granddaughter Michelle was born. It is the hobnob of family activities. In the front yard you can see some of my daughter-in-law's flowers but it is the backyard where she spends most of her time. The backyard is filled with a variety of plants, trees, flowers and vegetables. Because of this we have a lot of creatures who roam and live in our yard; mainly, squirrels, rabbits, and birds. An occasional dog or cat might get in but Moosh, the Chihuahua who thinks he's a Doberman Pincher, keeps them out

Your work is very good and varied. I can tell that you have been doing this for some time.
So, thank you for favoring my attempts. I currently trying to transfer some of them (at least the contours) to canvas ... and to try the next step, painting at least part of the originals. Teaching myself here without prior training... so sometimes a slow go (Modpodge it, grid it, graphite trace it, or etc.?). I am set up to try some or all. The thought, the feeling, the preparation, and now need the action and having the time.

Thank you for the info. Van Gogh was more or less my teacher. I would copy some of his paintings to learn his brush strokes. I'm also self taught and once you start, you will love painting - it's quite satisfying. Anyway, good luck on your paintings
