Very creepy haunting sense to it. Like it's a reminder of death? I like it.

I really like how the skull looks, plenty of of cracks and little holes with textures that make it interesting. However, The background just seems unfinished. Since this is a study, I'll give you a bit of leeway, but I think you you just filled in the other space with black it would look really polished and more intentional. Otherwise, I like it. :3
