He's beautiful. The palomino is just stunning when added to that Arabian form. It's just a same that it isn't a actual color in there for palominos are lovely horses. I bet you are really proud of this handsome boy

Can this work for Grullo? I read there was a set colors for PB Arabians, and the rest has to be bred in. If palomino can result from this then could other colors be added depending on the horse?

I only know of Buckskin/Dun/Palomino/Cremello/pinto, not sure on other stuff...but mostly has to introduce non arab stock to get any other colour in.

Somebody said that Grullo is like dun and buckskin. Those horses you mentioned, are they usually the ones that people use when going for one of these unofficial Arabian colors?

I suddenly remember something. I have a mare whose mother is a Arabian mare and whose sire was a Saddlebred, but she's a golden sorrel.,, If I bred Kash back to a Pure Arabian then would the foal count as a partbred? Though...Kashmir hasn't been bred to any Arabian stallion, only another Arabian x Saddlebred cross and a Warmblood.
But that aside, was I correct in her colors? You did say a chestnut to a chestnut makes another chestnut, and her dam was a chestnut while her sire was a dark chestnut

I'm not the best to ask on realistic colours ^.^; I get advice from other people.

Well you did a good job just for the basics and that can be enough at times. Still I have to thank you for helping though.

I know, but it would be nice if it could be actual Arabian coat color. But it sounds confusing and how can they be certain that the desired color will result? I know Akhal Teke come in buckskin, palomino, or dun but others like QH and Saddlebreds come in different colors, if they want palomino then how will they be able to make sure the result is a palomino and not a chestnut? This is quite interesting, I might reserve it for later on.

Palomino/dilute genes work that same for breeding
Cremello (double dilute gene) has to be bred to a chestnut to get guaranteed palomino foal
Palomino bred to a chestnut is 50/50 more likely to get a chestnut.
Same with Buckskin/dun - over a bay coat.

That sounds complicated since Cremello isn't common. Are there any possible problems that might happen in these foals? Not that it's really a big thing (well I guess it is...). Anyway, so Duke counts because his mother was a Cremello? If Duke was bred to another palomino then would the color be passed to their foal?

Problems, like health? Only light skin is easily burnt in summer so keep a face mask on...
Not sure on the breeding for colours part as it would all depend on each horse's base genetics and you really don't know in RL till the foal is born.
Sorry i'm not extra experienced with realistic genetics I often ask for help.

Anwar is an Arabic name meaning "lights", Azhar means "bright, clear, splendid", Dharah means "excellent", Diya means "clear, luminary, light", Haroun/Harun means "light or mountaineer", Hadil means "cooing of doves", Hobal means "sun god" which i think is appropriate considering his sire's name and his gold color, Isaff and Manaff are also words for the same god, Malak means "angel", Munir means "beaming light", Noor and Nur also means "light", Shamas and Shems both mean "the sun", Shihab means "bright stars", Urtaal means "the supreme light", Zia and Ziya both mean "luminary, glare, clearness"
those are the best i found from this [link] list of male Arabic names!

Thank you, i've been working really hard, looking at references and trying to train my hand to anatomy. Digital is very hard for me it doesn't come as easily as traditional. I can feel and see it direct in traditional, with digital there is disconnect, you aren't physically touching the screen. I want a cinteq as those tablets do draw direct on to screen.
