Not wanting Alien races who are hostile (Krogan had to be neutered, and the Turians went to WAR with humanity) is not raging. She's perfectly logical in having these doubts since you don't know how Loyal to the cause Wrex or Garrus will be should they be put to the test, hell Wrex pulls a GUN on Shepard over he Genophage cure which completely validates Ashley's concerns about him. It's funny you hate Ashley because you have Kat from Halo Reach as your Avatar and she's more racist against the Covenant than Ashley is toward's any of the council species since in her firefight voice she says so many negative remarks about the enemies you kill and Bungie's even stated Kat has a hatred for the Covvies since they destroyed her home colony.
Ashley's original writer chirs L'etoile had to come out and say ashley is niether Racist, species Nor xenophobic:

Anyway. I fully expected some people write her off as a bigot. What surprises me is that no one's pointed out that her position does have some sense. Evidently, I did something very wrong here.

So before you go around labeling people extremely actually take the time to get to know the character completely please.

I couldnt romance ashley because I dont play male characters.
IE she's no les. maybe in 3 but im not about to replay 1 and 2 to make her ass survive.

I ahve no problem with people disliking Ash, it take sa rare type of person to like all the ME squaddies, I just hate when it's the "because she's racist". Just PLEASE tell you me don't think Tali is an angel who can do no wrong, please.

no I think tali's a little loose in the head. Honestly I don't find her 'attractive', or 'cute' in her behavior like so many people. She seems horribly frail and honestly, in her heart she's still barely a child. Maybe if she was a bit more mature, I'd have a tiny crush on her. Tali's cool but not my choice for a mate.
there's something i Do like about all squad mates. Ashley's the way she's meant to be for gameplay. i may not personally like her attitude toward aliens (this was prominant in one, and you realy wouldnt see much of her in two. in Three either she or kaiden will be on earth at the alliance base. he/she will speak to vega about shepard, and comment that they 'Used to' when asked if they knew shepard. Basically Deragetory statement made toward shepard for his/her involvement in Cerberus.
Kaiden's cool because he just goes with the flow, is ready to take on whatever comes his way and follows orders without question. Jack's a royal bitch but she can be really cute when she gets all sad during the romance scenes. she's just scared and won't admit it(And I can totally relate to her state of mind).
Grunt's just awesome. i mean who DOESNT like Krogan. Everyone loves Garrus. I always have because he's got such a good head on his shoulders. Logical, tactical, and he's got some fairly decent humor to keep it fresh.
I dislike Miranda 99% of the time. She's an overpriced sex doll. I dislike BECAUSE she was made to be perfect. I mean sure, Bioware is satirizing their own work, making fun of the oldest trope in story-telling but its almost like ms-plastic doesn't have a single flaw, just this stuck up elitest attitude. sure she cares for her sister, but only because she doesn't want her to wind up coming out like she did at the hands of her father.(And I can respect that, so i can like her from time to time).
Samara's neat. She's wise and old and just the kind of support shepard needs. Everyone's batshit for Thane. Personally I'm indifferent.

It seems you don't pay attention....Miranda does have flaws and she was created to be perfect but she's not and she says this herself in her dialogues with Shepard. Even without her sister she's not "an over priced sex doll" No Bioware character is tha worthless unless they die at the beginning of the game like Wilson, he's worhtless.
