Description These are the flags, from the Marx Brothers film Duck Soup ( [link] and [link] ); the top one, is Rufus T. Firefly's (Groucho) country, while the lower one is Ambassador Trentino's (Louis Calhern). The colours are speculative, as the film's in black and white, and I can't find colour references anywhere. Thinking of making them into wallpapers, as well.

I recommend this film, to ANYONE who hasn't seen it.

There is another film from Paramount in the early 1930s called THE LOVE PARADE with Jeanette MacDonald and Maurice Chevalier, and they are the Queen of Sylvania and her restless Prince Consort. Since it precedes Duck Soup by a few years it has a precedent value. It is a musical directed by Ernst Lubitsch, and is worth watching.

The flags look really cool.
The movie was awesome. Although, I kinda wished that Chico and Harpo would have played the piano and the harp.

Oh hellz yeah... it's been so long since I had seen Duck Soup, and when I watched that episode, it kept ringing a bell, until finally... weeks later, I remembered the reference!

Damn, I gotta see that movie again...

Ah! I love the Marx Brothers movies. Although I love the first five with Zeppo because I think he was very underrated and made a better straight man than some of the other people they brought in after he left.

This was the last film he was in, too; he ended up being an agent, and a mechanical engineer!

Yup, he invented the clamps to hold bombs under airplanes and a watch that alerts you when you're about to have a heart attack.

I know. I read the only reason he was a part of the group was their mother made him do it after Gummo quit because he was getting into trouble and stealing cars and everything and he was eleven years younger than the next oldest brother so I figure he felt like the little kid brother just tagging along. And Groucho admitted he was the funniest one in real life and he was upset when one night Groucho got sick and couldn't perform in this vaudeville show they were doing and Zeppo took over his part and got bigger laughs than he did so Groucho made himself get better quick so he could get back there.

I'm betting that's why they never gave him that much to do in the movies except just stand there and say a few lines.
