Description This is the character Katchoo form Strangers In Paradise, by Terry Moore. This is another home work assignment i had to do in Brian Miller's class. The assignment was to color her with flats.

Strangers In Paradise fanart! Awesome! (I haven't read it, but I really really want to).

I think you've done an excellent job of colouring this.

Thanks it was just simple flat colors. This was the fist picture Brian had me color when he was teaching me a different way to color. So have you heard good things about Strangers in Paradise? I never heard of it until i had to color this picture.

Yeah, but not everyone can manage to do it well, I think (I know I sometimes have trouble with it myself).

Well, I haven't really heard that much about Strangers in Paradise to be honest - I first heard of it in a book I own about writing comics, where it was frequently used for examples of laying out comic pages and the like. One of my friends says it good, but a bit nutty at times, lol. As I say, I have yet to read it myself.

Coloring pencil work is furstrating sometimes, which is what this piece is.Brain got this picture form the creator of Strangers in Paradise cause they know each other. So i thought it was cool that i got to color an actual picture by the guy.

But i'm thinking about checking out Strangers in PAradise.

Wow, that's neat! (I'm soooo jealous).

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes you have those times where you wonder what the hell you're doing, and why.

So am I (although admittedly I have been in years. But tomorrow I'll be near a comics shop, so I'll have to look and see if they carry it).

That happens to me all the time, when i color something that i never colored before. Like a certain fabric or stuff like that. I end up image searching on how people colored/shaded it and all that stuff.

Ah, cool. I think that's a really good way to work (I'm like that myself, I think).
