I like Gospelman. Would you mind if I draw him sometime? I can't make promises or deadlines, with how busy I am....

If that is what you would like to call it, then yes. Fanart. C:

I know exactly how you feel about being busy and continuing comics.
I may change his anatomy a bit to be more "DC/Marve" in terms of bodyframe. Is that okay????

I am excited about this idea. I think my favorite part is that you will make it for a wide age group. I think it is greatly needed. I also see what you are talking about with Christian entertainment. I too would like to get something going but we will see. I am so bad at writing. Keep it up!

The colors and designs just came to me so I ran with them - mostly because I didn't hate it and it didn't look stolen. Although I admit there's another hero similar titled Good Guy. Also I may have chose green in my subconscious because Gospelman and green both start with a "g." Originally Goodnews Boy was named "Bible Boy," hence then also his blue colors, but then I learned something called Bibleman existed and already had a Bible Boy. But, um, I like to tell people GM's costume is green for growth, ha ha ha.

GOOD luck in your venture. A friend of mine and I are also working on a newer type of Christian type entertainment..I call it..Christian Science Fiction..were coming up with a futuristic, Star Trek type story...take a look on my front page...LOTS to see about it..stories too...
I think this is a GREAT way to get kids to read about the bible and like it..and not be bored...KEEP IT UP!!

ANother thing I cant stand about some Christian comics..is theyre SO unreal and flaky..everyone walks around in cashmere sweaters, with their hair parted JUST so...and no one get into any REAL trouble..or act dumb or REALLY sin..its all sugar coated...!
MY character REALLLLY falls flat on his face in his story, and the ONLY way hes going to get back up is with the help of God. Im hoping people relate to this and not think its just another stupid, feel good Christian story.

Same here. The newspaper style strip/VBS children version of Gospelman may be like what you said, but the older readers comic will present many topics and situations not suitable for younger readers as the characters learn to trust in the Lord to get through. It will also deal with more in-depth Biblical doctrines and sensitive topics that younger readers may not understand.

Well, of course, ha ha ha... This specific one is for little children's VBS. What did you think it would be? lol
You should stick around for the black-and-white for older audiences.

your going to laugh at this comment (and more so if you actually know what im talking about) did you ever read faithman? it was a short comic printed in the Gospel bill show magazine named "honeycomb" ...first thing i thought of when i saw this...very similar but different...I always thought mike judge had a little inspiration from it too for king of the hill..when there were Christian references in that show.

yeah they are methodist..my fave episode is the halloween episode where theres a fanatical christian lady that tries to get bobby to go to her house instead of trick or treating..it was in the essence of a chict tract i always thought..but as far as faithman its pretty obscure..gospel bill from the mid 80s had a magazine and there was a 2page comic of a boy who would run into the devil and then turn into faithman which was like a superhero character. i still have some of the mags but i dont have a scanner...whenever i get one i will def upload it.

Wow, that would be cool to see. Yeah, I have some friends that don't like Halloween (honestly, my favorite secular holiday), but I respect that and wonder if they're right or not. And I used to go to my grandmother's Methodist church. Guess I just felt like making some comments in case anyone wondered my opinions. Anyway, awesome, I've never seen that episode. I really like the idea of the boy becoming Faithman like a Christian Shazam, by the way. Sounds like a good concept for a superhero story!
