*drops dead*This has been my hardest piece ever, no kidding. I've been at this one for two or three weeks now, I believe, for a time between 20 and 30 hours or something, which is way too long, but I had to try out all sorts of things. I've learned a lot though, making this piccie, so I'm very happy with it.
I'm like: 80% pleased with it. I think the background is okay, I'm proud I didn't just copy/paste one from the movie. I did base part of the background on the scene of the movie where Beauty and the Beast are having breakfast and the Beast is all messy and stuff. I should really do more backgrounds and more complex backgrounds too.
And I think practice time is over now and I can get started on real piccies for GoO, my Beauty and the Beast project. (Read more in my journal here: [link] )

alhoewel het inkleuren steeds beter gaat.

Agh, it looks so absolutely terrific! XD I really need to start doing backgrounds, myself, too. I've just never done them before, and it's hard to get yourself started, I guess. xDD

But one thing real fast. Did you save this as a JPEG? :0 Not that it looks bad, but the, like, image quality is probably not as good as the actual thing. I usually save the stuff I color as a PNG, 'cause it really keeps the quality of the color better. Just a suggestion, don't shoot me

I save stuff as png's too... but... I have to admit... This drawing was done in 2005 and I have no idea as what I saved it back then. But I'm a png girl now!

Backgrounds, I think most people have problems with them, myself included. This one took quite long as well, but I had some good references to look at and compare. I just think you need to be patient with them.
