I just had to make this after seeing the newest MLP FIM episode "Baby Cakes"...and to make up for that EXTREMELY sad picture featuring Baldwin, Twilight, and, of course, the fear of Discord [link]

I'm really happy that Mr. and Mrs. Cake finally have kids, cute little foals to chase around Sugarcube Corner. Seeing as cartoon characters like this couple have kids, it made think of Mr. Baldwin, and how he is a pregnant seahorse awaiting the day when he'll have his child.

Back then before he learned the true meaning of friendship, he wasn't exactly sure if he would even be a good mother/father to his unborn kid. But the day he hung out with Twilight and they became friends, he's become more confident about parenthood, knowing that he has friends behind him to help if he needs it.

And Twilight...Baldwin thinks of her as a daughter to him. If he gets a girl, he hopes it'll grow to be like Twilight: smart, kind, and very beautiful [link] And he wants her to be the first to see his baby when it's born.

A few days after Pumpkin and Pound Cake are born, Twilight volunteers to babysit the two as an apology for doubting Pinkie Pie in her responsibility. The pink pony forgives her, and is fine that her unicorn friend is taking the babies off her hooves for the day while she and the Cake couple work around Sugarcube Corner.

Taking the babies with her around Ponyville, Twilight meets up with Mr. Baldwin at the park; she called him earlier to come see the little Cakes, and Baldwin's thrilled to finally have day off to see the born children the Cakes had wrote him about the day they were in the hospital.

As they sit on the bench, he holds little Pumpkin Cake in his arms while Twilight holds little Pound Cake in her hooves, both simply basking in their cuteness .

And Baldwin is just so in awe to look and hold a newborn baby...making him realize that one day...he'll be holding his very own.

And Twilight, ever so encouraging of his planned parenthood, gives him a affectionate, loving, daughterly nuzzle, letting him know that the Cake babies are indeed beautiful...and so will his baby.
