Meg is the only humble and decent character on the show! And how can anyone call her ugly when she looks like Lois but has brown hair and glasses!?

I say who Meg needs is DONNA! Β Even she herself has said that Lois is a TERRIBLE PARENT which is true Β They need to do a new episode when Meg bumps into Donna for some reason & Meg talks to her about her problemsΒ & Donna listens to Meg and actually CARES about her & starts to help her like a REAL MOTHER! I feel like Meg represents the modern girl who is insecure and is attacked by people if she isn't sleeping with people, is modest and isnt't a bitch like Connie Domiqou. It's like bad behavior is rewarded and good behavior is punished.

Yep! I totally agree with you: that's what I tried to say. Unfortunately, such misbehaviour is being cherished nowadays, so seeing that, I'm even afraid of seeing what will await us in near future.

Same, it's like people think they have to be aggressive in order to get what they want and protect themselves from being bullied or ridiculed and are afraid of letting their guard down and if someone is nice, pretty or smart they get jealous because that person comes in with a smile on their face while the bullies are miserable, angry and are jealous so they want to bring that person into their own misery. In a sense, they believe the ruthless, strongest and the most competative survive.
In Family guy everyone is insecure, and while Meg is to she is more content with herself than everyone else and they hate that they are a mess while Meg, for the most part, is at peace with herself for who she is as a being and someday she will become the most successful out of her family and community when Connie becomes eighteen and looks like a burlap sack that not even her stepdad would want and Lois will ages and lose the sex appeal she is so proud of and Peter will regret mistreating his family when Meg disowns him.

Well, hopefully it will someday be like that: Meg actually deserves a better life, and those people who were and are mistreating her should be punished in the most severe way. Even the Holy Bible says: the one who was pity will become happy, the one who was happy will be living in hell. Or something like that.

Agreed, and I also heard something a Minister once said"A disrespectful child will not live half his age" which means that if they continue to disrespect her they will mess with the wrong person and get themselves killed.

Neither do I sometimes, of course I can see he tries to be a good husband and father to Francine and their kids. I blame Stan's dad for choosing crime over him and how it made Stan go super Republican thinking that is family must be fifties style so he can be what his father didn't teach him.

WhitePedal25 In reply to Cartuneslover16 [2015-02-02 03:59:47 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, that just proves Stan got those idea's from watching 50's shows and it gave him idea's on how to raise a family, even though back then behind the pretty housewife and working husband, there was the alcoholism, often domestic violence and such that was hidden behind that social norm. With Francine she helped him even out on his beliefs and stuff he learns from Liberals that are actually good.

I would prefer how people treated Meg in the earlier series than how they treat her now, because while Meg is the normal one she can be the representation of the teenage girls that don't act like whores and how they get criticized .
