Description ...in a place where we only say goodbye.

the darkness?
it can be all-consuming.
it can weigh so heavy on your chest;
like lead on your ribcage.
you don't even try to sit up,
you just wonder if you'll ever regain air.
loss..
..it permeates every bit of life surrounding you,
and it's like you can't, no, you don't want to see that things around you are alive,
because you know it'll only remind you that they'll die soon.
and the world is too bleak to be seen that way.
..so you just stop looking.

someday,
maybe months or heavy years,
that blanket lifts,
unveiling bits of vibrance;
the reminder that there's whim and fancy.
but, until that day comes,
you really feel like
you're in a place where we only say goodbye.

I really like this. I can feel the emotion in it, maybe because when I had a lot of pent up sadness and I would draw just to see what would come out... it would look like this

Your lettering is exquisite, the colors are beautiful and go well with the poem (even though I know you wrote that last).
The emotions it invokes.. wispy, fading, ethereal, day dreaming..
And somehow, the song "Paint it Black" is in my head. Do you know it?

I'm just emotionally open-minded, especially when I'm looking at art that I know beyond a doubt has layers and layers of meaning. I try to feel out everything I can.
That's one reason I love your art so much!
