Description I'm satisfied with this one because I tried new methods and to me it seems successful. First off, I was able to use GIMP on most of this one, so this is the first mane/tail I've done with my tablet using it. I really like the results. Also, I tried fusing two horses together. I liked the pose of one of them, but the head... not so much. Of course, finding a valid excuse to put two and two together I took the head off of another horse and reattached it to the body.(Yes I know I'm morbid. Did you know that I do that to my model horses all the time?) Another thing I like is the capabilities of both Photoshop's and GIMP's filters. Combined, they can produce amazing results.

Please leave feedback. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks!

Edit: Added the shadow under the mane!

Time: 7 hours
Layers: 25
Software: GIMP2.6, PSe9, Wacom bamboo tablet
Thanks to the wonderful stock providers: for the foreground grass, for the main background, for the horse body, for the horse head, and for the hawk.

could you do a mane and tail tutorial? Or give me a link to the one you learned off of?
