Okay, do any of you guys remember this guy?!?! He was like the best villian on the Aladdin tv series! I remember when I first saw this guy I was like, "this guy is so cool! He's so hot." So yeah, I had to do a picture dedicated to him. ^^But yeah, his name is Mozenrath and he's the Lord of the black sand. For those who don't know him you may be interested to know that under his glove he only has a skeleton hand. ^^
RANDOM DISNEY FACT THAT I MUST SHARE: The original plan for the movie "Aladdin and the King of Thieves" was to have Mozenrath be part of the main focus of the movie and end up finding out that both Mozenrath and Aladdin are actually brothers. ^^

Fangirl Alert: Mozenrath is the Ruler of the Land of the Black Sand and was mentored by Destane until Mozenrath bit him in the arse and overthrew him, then turning him into a mamluk to add insult to injury. He is refered to as "Jafar Jr." by Iago once in his debut episode but is also widely thought to be (as you mentioned) Aladdin's long lost brother. But that little fact sadly never made it into the series or the movies. He is rarely seen without his magically flying eel "Xerxes" (ironically Xerxes is also the name of a Persian ruler) and the glove is thought to have caused his current hand condition but it is debated that the flesh was possibly bitten off by the magic eating beast, the Thirdac, that attempted to eat him when he tried to capture it. Ok now that little splurg is over, I would like to mention what an impressive job you did. His eyes are absolutely wonderful and I applaud you for such great work on his hands (I can never draw those :/) And you seem to understand him very well. Nice work.

I do't think they ever said he was Jafar's son. Iago had made comments asking if he knew Jafar and had called him Jafar J.R., but I don't think he realy was Jafar's son...
But I wish Disney would make a movie or small clip about the two being brothers and how thy find out and all!
And this pic is amazing. I remember watching this show and i remember Aladdin beingmy fav. Disney movie because it came out the same year i was born, 1992!!!

Just like it was never confirmed Alladin and Moarath where brothers. It was an idea one that they canceleld. And Its true that Moz never said he was Jafar son but in the series there are striong hints. When iago asks him if he knows Jafar he remains silent. When one remains silent it usually means its a sore subject they dont want to talk about meaning that the odds of Jafar being his father is big. If Jafar wasnt his dad than I dont see why he would have any trouble saying if he knew the guy ore not.
So it really depends on how you look at things.
Also it is possible (though the chance is small XD) that Moz is in fact Al's brother and Jaf's son withoud making Jaf and Al related. SHARED MOTHER XP.

Well, my memory could be playing tricks on me, but I'm pretty sure that Mozenrath himself said he was Jafar's son the very first time Aladdin meets him.

Hes character info says that he was the apprentice and probably the adopted son of the dreaded sorcerer Destane, the former king of the Black Sand, whom even Jafar feared. This is were i found it [link] and below is the passage i found the info in:-
Mozenrath is a powerful and malevolent teenage sorcerer, not much older than Aladdin himself, who rules over the Land of the Black Sand: a desolated and hostile land, solely populated by his army of undeads mamluks. Little is known about Mozenrath's past. Judging by his own words, he seems to have been the apprentice and probably the adopted son of the dreaded sorcerer Destane, the former king of the Black Sand, whom even Jafar feared. At some point, likely when he felt that Destane had nothing left to teach him, he killed him and turned him into one of his undead mamluks, before taking his throne. He is always accompanied by his familiar Xerxes, a flying, talking eel, fully devoted to him, who serves as his spy, his assistant, and sometimes his punching ball, when the sorcerer is angry.

My first reaction to this, I'm a little embarrassed to admit, was, "Omg, that's so f***ing sexy!"...Regardless, you draw Mozenrath very well, and it's getting harder to find people that even REMEMBER this guy, much less that are able to do him justice. Congratulations!
