This picture immediately caught my eye amongst so many other pictures. it strikes me as wanting to evoke certain emotions, stirring sadness and a clammy sort of horror together to form an almost deep seated sorrow and fear. I love pictures like this, that cold white pallor on her skin, her bedraggled black hair, the white dress. seemingly poignant in the thought that she will soon be entering whatever afterlife waits for her, with white the neutral colour of purgatory, but the way you see her lying, a torrent of thoughts rush through your head, what is the story behind this girl? Where did she come from? Who could do this? But again, like many pictures concerning death, this one speaks a thousand words. A fragile young woman, a victim to death. it's a chilling thought, that something so tender could have become subject to death's brutal embrace. I don't see the subject of death as completely original anymore, but this particular scene is. it's a wonderful setting for such a theme. And it forces you to think so hard. I absolutely love it, keep it up please.

From the way the sand lines look like her body was being moved back and forth by the ebb and flow of tide to the incredible focus you've used, this is just a five star quality photograph.
When I saw it, my mouth just hung open a little and I could only stare, because I've never seen such a strange focus before - combined with the muted, pale blue and brown that compose the rest of the shot, you've taken the lens distortion and worked with it very well.
I just adore how you can see the minute details in the sand around her arm and hand, how just underneath that focal point it blurs again, and how my eyes constantly felt as if they had to readjust wherever I went in the picture. That's how I'd expect to be seeing after coming across something like this in real life, so you've managed to set the mood incredibly well, if I'm bleary eyed and somewhat disoriented (in the good way) looking over just a photograph.
The nails. The sand. The bridge, the dress, the tangled hair. The tiny details that really bring her out, such as her french tipped nails or the tiny bow on the shoulder of her dress or the one itsy bitsy rock that looks like a tooth on the ground in front of her. Everything together equals one HELL of a treat for my eyes. Well done!

First of all, focusgasm! When the page loaded, I noticed the excellent focus and felt a little apprehensive opening the full-view and hoping that it was just that excellent, even up-close. And it is. And I love it.

I really like how you've worked with the lens distortion rather than against it or having 'fixed' it post-shooting. It creates just the right amount of extreme proportion in the hand and arm at the bottom of the frame and curving of the geometric structural elements in the background.

I love the muted murky colours and the anonymity of the model. The little details are so effective - the perfectly manicured nails, the sand trails along the arms, the precise and well-thought-out composition. I wish I had suggestions to make, but I don't. I wouldn't change a thing about this.

I was originally going to say that the way her face is positioned in the sand could be less straight (as a criticism) but then I immediately realised that it actually adds to the uncomfortable thought provoking nature of the image, and adds to the image.

Well done!!!
