Done in pen + Photoshop 7.0Another piece of Get Backers fanart... Damn I just love Get Backers too much. Out of all the characters, I like Ginji's "alternate ego" - Raitei (Emperor of Thunder) the best, and there's just simply not enough fanart of him!!!! So I've decided to do my own....
But the CGing process messed up the piece... T_T Why can't I get him to look as good as he does in the anime!?
P.S. Raitei Ginji has been referred to as the "Demon of Mugenjou" (demon of the Infinite Fortress) in the manga, hence the title of this pic.

Great pic so far i like all your Get Backers pics. my favorite one so far was the very first one you did. There just great everything about them. Everyone should get into GetBackers. I saw one measly episode of GetBackers at an anime convention--then boom, I'm hooked for life. X_x; It's so addictive...ah, Akabane-san...
Hmm? Oh, I was commenting on the pic, right? I love the lightning effects, and the bg really gives you the moody feeling of Mugenjou. I think his face looks great, but if you want it to look more like the anime, I suggest you lower his hairline and make his chin less narrow. All in all, this pic is the shiznit.

This turned out great! Ginji's overall character (goofy w/ insanely powerful alter ego) reminds me so much of Vash. They even have the same hair when Ginji goes all electric...

The lightning and the coloring is just frickin' amazing...and I know what you mean about not being able to render a character like the way they look in the show, for some reason it never looks right *sigh* though I think it looks just fine...most excellent work!

nyuu. what about trying cell style, with screened lightening hilights, and taking the lightning "lines" layering them atop, and then multiplying them with another, and bluring that set. ? o.o then use hilight where needed

I absolutely love the coloring and the light. And the background is awesome, if only because it shows how inadequate I am at CGing backgrounds. ^^; Anyway, I adore this piece. : )
