Edit 9/19/2012: So, due to a rule I forgot my final entry for the constest can't be my final entry for the contest. So, I added hair, eye, face, and hand to make this my final entry. The hair was, difficult, but worth it. The eye was easy along with the make-up. The hand has the mark of the winter Harolds (the snowflake) on her hand. I've finaly completed my design for Hapuriainen's magical girl contest. This is, by no means, my entry peice, just so you guys know. This is the layering and details that go into the outfit.

On the outside we have the 1st layer, the gloves and pants. Originally I was going to give her tights, but since she's always going to be surrounded by snow something thicker would be better. The strange things on the bottom are stur-ups(sp?) so that they don't move around in her boots.
The gloves are pretty inspired. At first they were very simple, but then I decided to decorate them with the silver and lapis. It worked bueatifully so I carried it everywhere, polishing the design nicely.

Next is the dress and boots. The dress is pretty simple, except for the sleeves which won my heart when I spoted them in my referance files.
The boots were a stroke of brilliance I'm very fond of, even if I butchered it here. They're ment to be taller and are in two parts so they protect her shins when she kicks. I had trouble with the silver toe, but when I came up with the design for the gloves it worked out perfactly. I'll spend the time needed for them when I do the final peice.

Next is the vest and ribbon. The vest, pretty literaly, came out of now where. But, it's great and works really well with the silver, I'm especily pleased with the design.
The ribbon was something I also found in my referance files that I fell in love with. The crystal and belt clasp(?) are the snow flake in the middle. When I first made the front of the vest I hated it, still no that pleased aspecily compared to the back, but once I put on the ribbon It worked out.

Next is the full outfit with scarf. The scarf was the easiest design and really pulled the whole thing over for me.

The very middle is detail stuff. The snowflake is actualy from an image by Hapuriainen of Beta as a snow fairy, which I felt made the effort of includeing it in the design well worth it. Under that is the bow without it's ribbon. At the bottom is her color palette.

I'm very happy with the whole design and I hope Hapuriainen does too. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this, so please don't be afraid to post.
