I guess this speaks for itself...
Some portraits I made in the years from 2001 'till... well... last month!
I hope this encourages people to create the things they like, whether it's drawn from reference images or just totally made up.
Sorry for the low quality. I can't post a high res version of this thing right now because my internet connection is terribly slow since last week. And my internet provider says they'll fix it within 2 weeks. Grrr!!!

omg, now I'm 15 years old, so that means my skills should be like yours in 2003...
Well, then looking at this i finally can make my dream come true, because, I'm drawing almost like 2004 level. I WILL WORK HARD AND NEVER SURENDER, I WILL SURPASS YOU NO MATTER WHAT! need to work even harder.

yay this gives artists like myself hope! Currently I would say that my work is at the 2004 stage but I'm working hard and trying to get the 2006-2008 stage. It seems as if I have trouble takeing my time on the actual drawing proces though ^^. Most of the time I take about an hour, but I'm slowly getting better. Thanks for posting this and resurrecting my hopes of becoming better!

wow this is a really positive encouragement never to give up, (i wish i didn't give up on realism drawings & went on to do fashion design & manga in 2003 & to go back to it in 2007)

This is quite inspirational. I just started "really" drawing this January as I took a Drawing 1 class at school and it has now become a passion of mine. My stuff is ok but not magnificent, this picture of your progression gave me hope for mine. Maybe someday I'll be as good as you are now.

Phew, that kicked my confidence level a bit higher. I've been drawing for a year now, I unexpectedly found out I had a talent. So far, I'm at stage... say, 4. So I guess another year, and I might actually start to draw like a pro.

These are so cool! I wish I could draw like that. Personally, I thought I was good and drew quickly, but this... wow! I thought it'd be impossible to draw that much detail in 15-30 minutes, but you've proved me wrong. I take hours, to draw things and break it up into days to get small details in and redraw different parts.
