I'm sure in the slew of original art I've been posting lately some people have been missing my Cats art. And if you haven't... oh well, here's some Cats art anyway!I sketched this Macavity by hand and painted him in photoshop using the original scan as a base - just like I would have if I'd done it by hand. I attempted to get a 'watercolour' feel with the colouring, and I think I've succeeded. I'm quite plesased really, since I've never been very good with water colours in real life.

I bought this from your Redbubble shop and I love it! I like the lighter colors you used as opposed to the heavy black and dark red that is used in the makeup for the show.

Ooh. I've always loved the way you draw Macavity... (have a pencil original right beside my computer ha ha ha) but... wow. I love this. Especially his eyes... the expression and the depth of colour in his coat. I just love it.

Actually, I still have two of yours. They require new frames since there was a slight accident with broken glass when I was moving house but they are right here.

You're right, it does look a little like markers... which is funny, because I absolutely can't do anything with markers in traditional art. I've tried, but it always just winds up a huge mess. lol
