Also, I have to agree with you. His voice and personality = much love. He's one of the only villains that I've really come to adore to death. Usually, I'm all for the good guys

Yesss, hyenas don't get enough love. They really are fun to draw. I like the painterly quality this has to it, and the shape of the ears. If I had to pick out a favorite feature, I'd choose then nose. It reflects the light nicely.

I'm not as in tune with their fanbase as well as the fox per say (duh
But their anatomy is quite unique, since they aren't part of the canine family at all. They're just one of those animals that has their own seemingly little niche in the natural world, all to themselves. Which makes that all the more fascinating
Ah ha! THAT'S what I was aiming for! I've seen pictures like this floating around before, and I wanted to try my hand at it to see if I could produce something like it. It was harder for me to do, since everything I attempt to do 'simply' usually turns into a more...complicated and detailed project. *sigh*, the perfectionist's curse runs strong with this one *points to self*
I LOVE those ears too, they're one of my favorite parts of any animal
