Decided to draw some Pokemon fanart since I have not done fanart in a long while AND I have been ensnared by the Pokemon franchise, so why not? I have REALLY been into Pokemon Masters, a mobile game of all things, and it is honestly a nice distraction to jump into... which is a lot for me to say since I normally despise Gacha games and get rid of them as soon as I've had my fill.

The only real reason to go into Pokemas though.... is the story... I... I love that this game has given so much charm and development for characters that have been forgotten over the years! I have grown MORE appreciation for characters I already loved and respect for ones I initially never liked or cared for.

And that leads to this pic~ I already liked these two, but their friendship honestly skyrocketed my appreciation for them. Similar to how I love Flint and Volkner in Sinnoh because they were friends and not just lifeless NPCs. The fact we got to see a different side to Nanu was really refreshing, considering his CANONICAL bloodstained path! Someone he cared for DIED on a mission he was on and lives with that guilt for who knows how long now! But when he's around Grimsley? The bored, callous persona melts away and we see the nugget of a happier and more open Nanu.

Granted with the way the game has set things up, I can't help but speculate some things. (If you are not a big Pokemon fan, you can leave now. I'm gonna go into theory territory!)

Grimsley doesn't have a proper Sync Move ingame... probably because he isn't programmed into an obtainable trainer yet despite being an important battle. Or maybe Liepard isn't supposed to be his partner and its actually Bisharp. Brycen's partner pokemon is Cryogonal, but in a fight with Rosa he uses a Zoroark! So for the sake of the story/theme they CAN use other Pokemon. For the sake of matching up with Nanu, he went with Liepard, but once scoutable ingame, he'll have his ace pokemon Bisharp!

But his dialogue at the end of his encounter was just... foreboding... I doubt Grimsley is with Team Break - nice try game, but I know these characters better than that to assume Grimsley is a bad guy. However... I can assume Grimsley is about to do something stupidly reckless and I honestly can't wait to see what happens~
