Your works are so nice

Aah, thanks.
Yes, I am - but I am more confident about my free works (like this one up here) than about my "work stuff". XP ^^

By the way, what kind of ink and paper do you use ?
I am still struggling about finding my own style ( ink, or not ? ) and the right type of paper for watercolours.

I evendon't mention sketch books because almost all tend to bulk up

Have a nice day !

For inking I use "Pitt artist pen" by Faber-Castell* (staedtler, copics or edding should be fine, too).
As for the paper I use different papers for different works, but most of them are from "Hahnemuehle", "Fabriano" or "Arches".
The "dapple grey" is painted on "Britannia" (300 gr/m² ) by Hahnemühle, but my curret favorite is the brand "Saunders Waterford" (300 gr/m², fine grain).
But I always  look for new papers and try them out.

For me the thickness of the watercolourpaper (bulking!) is not that important, because I use this method:

(except wetting the paper, I don't do that anymore after a wonderful painting stuck forever on a wooden plate XD).

I hope I could help you!

*some of these should be available in turkey, too - I also found them in south korea. XD

Thank you so much for replying me back. You are very nice and helpful !

And thank you for the tip. I once tried it with a 160 gr paper, and it did bulk up With the thicker papers, another issue was the type / grain of the paper. I think i haven't tried fine grain yet, or the one i tried was thinner so it didn't work out so well. Do you prefer cold pressed or hot pressed? ( Hot pressed papers are very expensive though) . Sorry, if i am bothering you by the way !

Oh, you said you did not water the paper itself. Ahaha, does it stuck ? LOL

I have 2 more questions if you don't mind

1. What kind of sketchbook do you prefer when you want to color it with watercolors ? Most of mine are very bulky and it is hard to move a brush over them smoothly because of the texture of the sketchbook. Maybe i should buy a Moleskine?

2. Do you transfer your final drawing on a watercolor paper? I don't know the best way to transfer a drawing, but also i actually do not like the idea. I like to draw things once, you know. But the issue with drawing on a paper is that when i try to draw clean/smoothly, i tend to be too careful with my lines so the drawing looks lifeless or stiff. The other way, my drawings get messy and there are too much lines going on, so painting over them is quite unpleasent and not looking good

Thank you again for your informative reply

Have a nice day !

Oh, and the wooden plate should be waterproof, too! but I guess any other waterproof surface should do.

Super cute. Love the one with the dog, reminds me of home. My mom has 4 horses and there are three family dogs.
