brilliant view and aperature value seems to be ok to capture the closest mountains and their details; however, i would have made a different kind of composition. the sky does not give too much to the viewer and by the terms of the inspiration it isn't even meaningful. so a bit more of those mountains and less sky in my humble opinion

I didn't really notice that there was too much sky compared to the mountains. In the original picture I don't have more mountain, and it would've looked..strange..to crop away most of the sky. It would've looked panorama-ish without being panorama.
I dunno.. I think the sky gives you the feeling of flying.. Like Nightwish's title "Over the Hills and Far Away", like literally fly over the hills and away..

I actually have a copy of it with a black frame on it, but as it is for the contest I decided to leave it the way it was originally. In the contest rules it said that I couldn't do anything to it other than what could be done in a darkroom - this referred to manipulations though, and I don't look at frames as manips.. I just want to be on the safe side..
