THE 3RD ANNUAL HARPG EXPO SHOW
  • Horse Reference: OPS Beatrice

  • Horse Breed: Chydaeus

  • Rider Name: Dagna Weigel-Weber

  • Class: Novice Dressage

  • Extra/Participation Images:

  • IDK if there's any importance on this BUT: Lullaby of Woe : Dagna insisted on having Witcher music as ambience music because... Man, because i'm in love with the Witcher, once again.

Every once in a while, there was a reunion at LNS that included the owner, Felipe and Gloria, his daughter, that managed most of the stables business. Those reunions used to include riders, including Martina, Jim, her dad and sometimes Charlie or Teo if they were around, plus other riders she didn't really remember the name of. But this time around, months ago after her debut with Beau, one of those reunions were made and she, little Dagna as they called her, was invited to it. On it, basically, it was said, among a lot of things she didn't understand, that it would be a great opportunity to get horses from LNS to the HARPG Expo, both younger ones and more experienced ones. It was debated for a while if Kargo was an option or not, as the mare was the one that liked travelling the less and, at the same time, there was a chance for her dad to participate with Cucao on Endurance. That was yet to be seen at that point. Donau was a possibility, on a younger division and the old, trusty Kamelot too. Martin wasn't on the list, neither with her most experienced horses or the newest ones, giving the little girl the surprise she wasn't expecting: she was the one chosen to represent the stables at dressage with Beatrice. At first, she thought her father would object, but that didn't happen. They really wanted her out there, showing her girl.

it wasn't that she wasn't excited but surprised. Usually, they would send the riders and horses they knew could place or at least put the stable's Names high on the list, but this time, the one and only Martina (who she idolized, too) was stepping down to let her go. Which was unnerving, taking into account that she knew both Kaira and Simon would be there and there was a very high chance to see them in action - also, the rumours about certain breeds that she liked having some surprises.
In short, despite being surprised, she was also in shock. And absolutely excited.

The day came and it was a dull, dark day full of clouds and rain. Beatrice was tacked up early and warmed up on her right time - she didn't seem to mind the expectance and certain excitement the little rider was having - despite being their second time out, she really was looking to see different aspects of the Expo - and she really, really wanted to see her idols. (Not that she would say it out loud, but man, both father and uncle were certain the little kid would take any chance to say hi to one or both of them) As she entered the arena, she really did appreciate the fact that the people in charge of the music put on some tones she liked - mostly, Witcher music. What could she say? She was on a.... kind of very subtle obsession with Jim for the game and the series, secretly trying to get the books to read them. Her father wasn't so sure neither the games nor the series were something she should be watching but well... Here she was, with a piece of clear music from the games. As her test continued without many issues, as she started cantering she heard more than felt one of her stirrups snap and consequently fall to the ground. In a moment of pure shock, she looked down to see the little metal piece slide down her foot, somewhat startling the mare.
She sighed and, lightly reassuring Beau continued with her test. The mare felt maybe a little heavier than usual, more insecure on the orders of a "loose foot" but loyal enough to try for her anyways.
Trotting was something more of a challenge, but they took it anyway. She wasn't going to stop and cry, she was coming to represent, for the first time in a very official way, her stables. So, she just continued her test, prompting Beau to do the same and find trust in what she was asking of her.

As she halted and saluted, she saw her family smiling and she smiled back. She was proud.
So, now... where was that Zlesdin boot?

Determined little girl. Sorry Kim and Zoub for constantly naming your characters as her idols but, y'know... shes a kid. xD
She's excited and determined and feel just like winning because of what she just did.

PD - i come more from a showjumping background and calling for help for anything like this can get you disqualified. Didn't do a lot of research but i figured dressage goes a little bit by the same rules.
If not, imagine living on a world were tht rule applies (?)
