The day was considerably calm. The weather was enjoyable and they had a long day ahead before competing. He used this time to chat a little bit with teammates from the Banana team and spend some quality time with Dagna, who this time along was able to tag along with him and Martina, who joined the Banana team as of late. So, in an itself. It was a good start to a show for both him and his mare.

At the time he was grooming and getting Kargo ready, already late in the afternoon, he could hear Dagna around watching some tiktoks as pre-teens do (mind you, she was still a child in his eyes but the term started to slowly sink in) and a specific song that didn't quite match with what Dagna's typical music style was, was slowly on repeat. He looked around him to find her watching quite interested in her cell phone and he curiously approached her.

"What's that?" he asked, sitting at her side by the bale of hay she was on. As she looked up at him, she showed her the phone

"It's a TikTok trend" she explained, as it was an obvious thing for him. Maybe it should be, he thought distractedly. He was young, still. He cocked his head to the side, wanting a longer explanation of it. "I have seen it a few times but look. They describe the horse and put a colour on it and then change with the music. I don't see much logic on that" she shrugged as she said that last phrase "but they're cool edits nonetheless"

Rov hummed as he continued watching the video, and as Dagna slid past it, another in the same fashion appeared. They both watched it with interest, as the video slowly explained colours to them.

"Kargo is red." he said almost on instinct, as he watched back the mare already tacked up, red ribbons up and certain parts of her tack standing up because of the colours. Dagna put off the phone and watched the mare too.

"I'd say she's brown or green, dad" She smiled back at him as he hummed.

"I say it's red. There's always something red despite the green."

Dagna chuckled back and shook her head, standing up to get closer to the mare and give her some threats she had in her pockets. The Diva's head quickly turned to her, interest peaking in her eyes.

"Whatever you say, dad. I think is green, still."

"This" Rov said as he came closer and continued preparing the mare "is a ridiculous discussion."

Whatever colour it was, the rider later discovered the song was damn catchy. As he warmed up and watched other riders come and go to their respective rounds, he had the song in his head on a loop. As he entered the arena and watched again some of the jumps, Red stood up for him a lot.

"You're red" He said to the mare, almost as if she understood what the early conversation was about. Of course, she didn't.

As he started his own round and went through the jumps, the song continued to play in his mind, drowning the ambience music there was around. A kick of emotion as they passed the second jump made him chuckle out of nowhere. That's why the red ribbons were always in place.

The title comes from an incredibly specific trend I have seen these last days on Tiktok, not only on the equestrian community but others like movies and so.
