Zo mY gah, I am so hooked on this series. It's the Temeraire novels by Naomi Novik, the first book is "His Majesty's Dragon." I HIGHLY recommend this series for all dragon-lovers.This is Temeraire, a Chinese Celestial dragon, the most treasure and revered breed of dragon. He is intensely smart and knows how to speak English, French, and Chinese...he even knows how to write in Chinese. Celestial dragons are capable of writing with a brush because they have 5 talons instead of the usual 4 seen on other dragon breeds in this series.
Celestial dragon are also the only species of dragon capable of hovering midair and able to use the destructive and amazing "divine wind", a sonic roar that destroys nearly everything in its path.
Temeraire is my favorite character in this series, he is adorable. His personality is so sweet and curious, and he is very possessive and protective of his caption Will Laurence and his flight crew. His Chinese name is Lung Tien Xiang.
This is definitely a series worth reading!
