This image is older. The figure is G2M

I like 99% of this render/post. It is just my opinion that the end of the logs being used for a wooden bridge are wrong.  Never seen wood with a star look before.  I also would like you to play with the lighting.  There are no shadows in the picture. I also would like to see the contrast turned down some.  But, that is just my opinion.   Look at the shadow of his hand on his thigh.  So the light is almost directly ahead of him.  The lack of other shadows distracts iMO. I lost count of the times that Val has said lighting makes the entire picture/render.  He is right but it is not easy as he makes it sounds to accomplish. Finally for the age of that picture, the spear handle looks wrong.  Looks to me to be a broom/mop handle you would buy at Walmart.  I've got one about that shape and color.  That very strong spear head needs a really strong handle. Just my two cents. Hal

you detected all errors i made in this image
I will explain some points:
a) the abyss is not my work. I buyed it here: www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/ab…
So you may tell this the content-creator
b) The abyss is a big prop. There are no shadows because it is like the inside of a tower as you can see in the link. There is not much light from outside
c) the shadow at the hand: here it seems that i tried to add light in the scene. In a fantasy-scene you will never be sure from where the light comes ...
And it was neccessary to give a light to the figure, else you won't see it because the darkness of the shadows in this tower.
d) the spear is either a freebie or some buyed prop i found somewhere in my content. I can only use things and weapons that I) i have and b) are able to adjust to the figure. The only thing i could do is applying a shader. But from where do you know in which time the scene is located? It could by an apocalyptic scene far far in the future too - with a spear from the museum / walmart. And it is a fantasy-scene. So everything is possible.
e) real warriors don't care about strong handles
I hardly have a look at those things. In most cases it is not so important for my images.

f) V.C. is great in lightning. Really great, but i find that most of his videos are chaotic and not very useful. He mostly explains things you already know and he has a terrible way to explain. This is not only my opinion.
