This took forever for me to do. I based the background off a cap from the anime. Her dress is a redesign by me, I love drawing her in redesigns all the time, it's one of my favorite things to sketch an is easy to do.Also, yay background! I hardly draw those, so I feel accomplished.

Excellent work! The reflections of the pillars are a nice touch! Oh, and you've always been a master of shiny things, but still I must say that the gems set in the bodice of her gown are just gorgeous! The flowing folds in the fabric are very well-rendered as well! Man...I just can't get over how lovely the entire image is! The different elements definitely work together as a whole!
I don't know that you'd see such a value shift among the flagstones. Rather, I feel like they should have a more even tone while the manor in the background should have a bit more contrast. Oh, and the line indicating her spine is a little off-center.
(a tiny note here... the light source appears to be coming from the upper left. the moon, I assume. however, the pillars on the right have their own private, exclusive light source? spoiled rotten pillars, if you ask me! XD)
ps: Her haaair~! Thank you so much for not just clumping it all together! I love seeing loose strands here and there to add a strong element of reality to the work!

I think I was cheating on coloring those pillars and reverse them for some reason. I'll see if I can fix it again, see what being lazy does? lol Those folds on the dress took me the longest to sketch on this entire drawing, I was insisting on getting them right even if it took days to do it. The spine line shifted somehow from my sketch, I may have moved it with a tool in the process somehow.
I remember an artist said something about how she hated how in the anime they made her hair these tube-like structures, and ever since I've tried my hardest to make them look like hair and not some tubes on her head.

Ugh! I know what you mean! Don't you just hate it when you try to cut the time down and it ends up biting you instead? Ah, well, it shouldn't take too long to adjust the lighting on a couple pillars.
I'm impressed. A simple remark like that really stuck with you and pushed you to improve. I'm glad she mentioned the hair.
