Description For ~Barrelex 's contest.

Combiner Space BDR: Angel of Doom
Primary Function: Spacial and Air Combat, High-Speed Fighting, Ranged Demolition
Components: BlueBird, Aloivia, VividTransparency, VectorCannon 1, VectorCannon 2
Weapon(s): Plasma tail, Plasma beam, Tractor beam, Gatling gun, Energy trail

The 5 parts that compose Angel of Doom are:

# Aloivia, the 'brain' of the BDR. Originally, it's a small floating object that uses the tractor beams on its sides (the light blue nodes) to pull/push objects/itself to/from it/other surfaces. The dark blue node on its back works as a high energy jet, which enables it to achieve great speeds in a matter of seconds. It's primarily used for recon and transporting intel. On Angel of Doom, it serves as its brain and eye, and its tractor beams, amplified by the combiner's power, enable it to deflect large projectiles and thus create a shield.

# BlueBird, the main frame of the BDR. Originally, its function is simple space travel and scouting. It can reach extremely high speeds, but to do so, its energy output becomes explosive, ending up creating a large trail of energy which is highly damaging. Its ring is also rigged to let it traverse immense distances in small amounts of time, by warping it.

# VividTransparency, the legs of the BDR. Its original functions are high and low-altitude fighting. Since it's quite fast, it's great for hit & run manoeuvres, using its plasma tail to attack. It contains a total of 4 energy jets: 2 on its thighs and 2 on its feet. This grants it a lot of control, making VT very nimble. Its plasma tail can also send small plasma beams.

# VectorCannons 1 and 2, the BDR's arms. They're usually used as simple defence, stationary cannons, given their low mobility and high attack power and range. They can propel themselves with their beams however, but it's highly risky, since they might end up damaged. They also have a small barrel for gatling fire.

# Angel of Doom, the finished BDR. As if it wasn't obvious by its parts' descriptions, this guy is mostly a swift attacker. Its main weapons are all ranged, so it's almost always keeping a distance from its foes, but it can still use those beams on short range (even if that's not very handy). While it's in flying position, its tail serves as a small defence, shooting down weak opponents in its path.

I finally finish this guy! Or, rather, I finally get decent photos and manage to pose it on my rather unstable stand. Obviously, those legs aren't the best for stability, given their feet and, well, lack of reinforcements to the hips/knees. Also, this guy is actually a reference in its entirety, even the names. Of course, all related to mech franchises I like. Namely Zone of the Enders and Evangelion.

Ah, the piece unveiled! It appears to be highly functional as well as being aesthetically appealing, save for some of the transformations, which I can't seem to make sense of (Third row: 1st & 2nd pictures). What are the itty bitty models in the bottom left corner?

Dude. Just click on "Download image". Everything will become clear by then.

Ok. First, there are no 'transformations'. What you see on the first two pics of the third row is the BDR kneeling down. The first is its front view, the second its back view. The small model on the bottom is its head (back view and front view, respectively).

Oh! That makes a lot more sense! I must be losing my touch with Bionicle, as new MOCs are becoming harder and harder for me to decipher ._.

Wow... I'm impressed, particularly by the legs/feet - I've always preferred aesthetics over functionality anyway

Any chance the stand could be less... multicoloured?

This is probably my most aesthetically pleasing MOC, actually. It just doesn't do much of a good job standing on by itself

Well, I could have searched for less clashing colours, but I didn't care, since this stand is only a side apparatus that I build in a minute.

Actually, it's not that big. I've made bigger. Take Archledis and Ajid'Trammel, for example.
