Description I finally finished the long and daunting task that is my Snow White Noble Garb.

I wanted to create what Snow White might have actually worn (if she were real) that would have led Disney animators to dress her the way they did. I took her color layout and put it into the Renaissance gown "rules". It is not completely historically accurate, but that was not my goal.

I made everything I'm wearing by myself, mostly on my machine, but the beading was all done by hand.

You cannot see them, but I made both the bumroll and farthingale worn underneath the skirts to create the full skirt look.

I will be submitting up close shots as scraps...

Also, just a small detail, but I love the cuffs of her sleeves.

And yay for bumrolls and farthingales!

YAY! You actually did the slashed sleeves! I'm always sad when I see red fabric just ironed on, or ribbons. THIS is how it was meant to be! That detail especially - and the whole costume! - looks so lush. I especially appreciate that you didn't feel the need to use the highly saturated color of the cartoon (it's not like our world is that highly saturated ). You did a beautiful job of converting this to renaissance style. So much detail! I love the textures of your fabric choices.

Great interpretation! The historical knowledge is definitely present, but the glipses of whimsy make is unmistakenly recognizable (especially the bow!). Love your work!
