Description Flag of the Ares Alliance, a UN-like organisation which maintains relations between the major powers of Mars and the various city-states that control that planet. The red-green-blue represents the three stages of Martian terraformation, and the rooster (and it IS called a rooster) represents the rooster which the Greek god ares set outside his door to warn him of the approach of Helios.

I only used it because it was the best I had to hand - far better than anything I can make freehand The point of it on THIS flag is that it represents Alectryon: mythology The implication is that the Ares Alliance is there to protect Mars and Martian interests against anything coming from sunward - ie, the inner system, Earth, Luna, Mercury, and Venus...
