They are pretty awesome. I haven't had the chance to go out and look for many. I need to change that!Β

You should! They live way up in rocky areas of mountains and move fairly quickly but they seem to run in a pattern so if you watch them for awhile they're easier to photograph. This one just did a loop between it's burrow and a bush for food which made it a bit easier

They are masters at camouflage.Β 
I'll usually hear them before I see them.
There's a place just outside of town that's a pretty reliable source for pika sightings. And I've seen a couple in Yellowstone.Β

They are indeed,Β I also heard them before I saw them then I just saw a few scurrying around.Β That's awesome that you can see them fairly nearby. I don't have mountains big enough or close enough to see them often, I only saw them on a trip to Alberta.Β
