If a dog is man's best friend, then a cat is man's furry homicidal roommate.Cats are a fairly common art subject.
In anime/manga we have the catgirl and her lesser known brother the catboy which feature people with cat eats and tails. Yun Kouga's Loveless being a great example of this. In Loveless all the humans are born with cat ears and a tail that they lose if they lose their virginity. They're just soo darn cute you want to pet them but too much of that and they won't be so cute anymore.
In the furry/anthro community you'll often find people depicted as cats. Say Severus Snape but in cat form. We're willing to ignore the scrapping of the bottom of the artistic barrel that drawing someone as a cat is because OMG KAWAII SNAPE AS A KITTY!
Of course dear reader, you must be asking yourself why Doctor Mew Who? What did Ainley!Master do to deserve this?
He landed on an evil semi-intellegent planet hellbent on turning people into Cheetah people in the last Classic Who serial Survival.
No I'm not making that up, that happened, Kitty!Master is canon.
Of course in canon the Doctor doesn't adopt him but instead left him to die on the exploding planet (because the Seventh Doctor was a bit of a douche like that
). But that's O.K, he'll be fine and return to torment the Doctor in the NA novels.

Fine, two can play at that game (cue William tell overture)
-The Master was what Salamander became after he fell into the time vortex
-Jack Harkness is secretly the Master who recently went under the chameleon arch to hide from the Doctor.
-The Master played by John Simm is actually Maxil who agreed to go under the master's chameleon arch to avoid the time war after the Doctor hinted at it during the Ten Doctors. The Master replaced Maxil's watch with a watch filled with the drums in the master's head which the time lords tried to retcon into existence.
-The Doctor decided to end the war once and for all (at the beginning of the war during the time when there were still non time lord galafreyans and both sides were using conventional weapons) when a weeping angel, under the orders of Rassilon and President Romana, put an image of an angel into the head of Susan Foreman and thus he was forced to snap her neck.
-Durring his 10th incarnation, after Rose Tyler was trapped in a parallel universe, whenever someone said the name "Rose Tyler", he would cry to the heavens "ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!"
-At one point in his life prior to his 6th incarnation, the Doctor went to comic con and stole THAT coat from a Leo Quintum cosplayer.
-The Doctor was, at one point, kidnapped and drugged into speaking in only Galafreyian by William S. Boroughs to learn the secrets of the universe. In retaliation, the Doctor told him the Talking Asshole bit verbatim.
-Due to the end of Series 5, the universe with stars and the other one merged into one. Rory still guarded the Pandorica and was reunited with his love during the blitz thanks to stealing some auton technology. They have adventures in Space.
-Jackie Tyler is a clone of the Doctor's Daughter (Susan's Mother) made by the Doctor during the war. She left him due to the Doctor going Dalek like all the other Time Lords during the war.
-Margaret Thatcher, Mary Whitehouse, and Michael Grade were secretly the same Jagaroth. To be specific, Scaroth.
-The Doctor is asexual, The Master is Bi, and The Rani eats dicks. Literally. Like sausage and eggs.
-Spider-Man is a 6th Doctor companion.
-Stardust Girl Β is canon.

Oh, I love this picture! As a cat owner myself, Kitty!Master reminds me of her so much- right down to the climbing on your head (well, she leans on my head when snoozing on the back of the sofa, but you get the idea).
