...and I love the fact you fully understand what I said. It's one thing for a talented artist to create art for a subject. But only an artist who has a genuine affinity for the subject will ever capture every nuance of what they're depicting.
Artists of your caliber are a constant reminder of what the "official" clan art in V20 should have been. A photo with a zillion layers of photoshop is not what anyone expects when they see the signature "Tim Bradstreet". If that's the creative direction a legendary illustrator decided to take, that's his right as an artist. Fine. One visit to dA later and right now I'm looking at a more-than-worthy replacement. Your Beckett art is proof of that!
This is what Tzimisce looks like, not... some dude who looks like he's posing for a Norwegian black metal-album while wearing a Hot Topic goth frock coat and a handful of Marilyn Manson's old rings.

I fully agree with you. Seems the new books have turned into a LARP fashion catwalk. That "tzimisce" does not convince me as a vissicitude carrier, with its vicious mind. It's just what you said, could fit better as a death metal brujah singer.
That is what book art has turned nowadays; if you stick to the LARP photographs and models (as they're doing) you left little to imagination and the dark essence this game needs.
