Description here's the fisrt issue wrap around cover for the tenchi muyo comic series i worked on with pioneer entertainment.
the figures were colored with prismacolor markers.but the background was totally done with prismacolor pencils.i wanted to pull off that animation cel look.

Great job with this, CD! This looks like another wonderful and funny adventure for Tenchi and the girls. I love how Ayeka is struggling with the parachute bag, while Ryoko has this somewhat cocky look on her face, like, "Ha ha!! I can fly!". ^_^

X3 I'm a huge Tenchi fan, I used to beable to draw Ryoko so well that she looked as if it was by the original artist =3 She was the first anime char I ever drew =3 unfortunately ._.; someone stole all my Tenchi comics when I moved..and I just turned 24 on the 22nd.

It's just for the composition of the piece. Besides,I couldn't think of any other pose at the time.

Prismacolor pencils huh? I honestly thought you did the BG with the markers as well, never knew you could get that kinda effect with colored pencils
