Description another Gen13 pic. this time, my attempt at Rainmaker. she's always been one of my favorite Gen13 members. she just seems... very... ambiguous (if u catch my meaning, lol, and u will if u know the character). and that makes her very interesting. plus, you don't see that many native american super heroes around these days. this suit i also pulled from Talent Caldwell's run when they revamped the series. anyways, more on the way. enjoy!

How do you come up with such dynamic poses? Do you use reference images or is it just out of your head?

Little bit of both, actually. I don't think i used a reference for this one, but when I do, i try to use photos from real life and incorporate comic book proportions

I couldn't help myself, I went ahead and added color and some light shading to emphasize the elements. I know I've got the suit colors wrong but hopefully not too far off! [link]

Rainmaker looks pretty badass here, I love it. Nice touch with the weather effects, it really sets off the piece.

this is such magnificent work with so much character,strong lines, and details. the work is so amazing the only thing that takes away from it is that left leg, it just seems a little out of proprtion to the rest of the piece, i know you wee going for an extreame pose but some thing there is off. the rest of the drawing though is so spot on it's scary excellent job.

thanks for the compliments! i can see what you mean, though. i think i was torn between what direction and proportion i wanted the thigh to be and that discrepancy is showing through in this picture. i should've taken more time with the pic, but i was just anxious to post it up, lol. fatal artistic flaw #128, lol. thanks for the critique as well.

dude i so understand what you mean i've posted a pic manytimes before it was ready just because i was so psyched about it. don't beat yourself up too much about that thigh this piece is still one for the record books in my opinion
