you've captured the feelings very well with the atmosphere of the picture. i suffered a miscarriage myself some months ago and still trying to handle it somehow. your picture expresses the pain one has to go through when loosing a child this way.

I found out last night that I am, in fact, not pregnant...I had for about three weeks, been terrified, excited, elated, and nervous. Yesterday I took a pregnancy test, and the whole time it was processing I just sat there watching, willing the minus sign to turn into a plus, and when it didn't I burst into tears and broke down. I'm still a wreck over it, and don't forsee myself feeling much better any time soon..This picture just gets to me on so many levels.. Thank you for your beautiful and touching art.. <3

Though not a mother, nor was I ever pregnant, there was a chance I was, and it was the happiest day of my life when my friend (who wouldv'e been the best and most beautiful father ever) texted me the words, 'are you sure your not pregnant?' I got my hopes up for a child, we picked out names and drew pictures of how she/he would look, the day my period came two weeks later, I felt as if I died inside a little. You have created a wonderful and amazing work of art.

You've captured the moment very well. Having been through a miscarriage.. this is what it is... it is sad, it is messy and it is lonely.

I'll Just quote my own aryist comment.. which is riiight under the picture
"After reading allot of the comments on this picture I see that there are many interpretations on what exactly is going on. I think this is amazing since the true meaning of a picture is in the mind of the viewer, and so to let you all know my originalt intent was miscarriage."

This picture is marvelous. I strongly identify with your depiction here, even if not in the literal sense of a miscarriage. The horrifying despair of great loss is universal, and you achieve that here. I found this coinciding with the anniversary of my personal greatest loss. Thank you for this.

Words leave me at a loss and cannot do justice for how accurately your photograph portrays the fear, the thoughts, the memories, and the loss.
I have lost one, but I was not even halfway into the 1st trimester, so it's something that can easily happen for any reason at all. I didn't really want a child yet, anyways, but still, knowing that I had that inside of me, developing... some semblance, some hope, some potential, some destiny... or perhaps a destiny to not be? I suppose Shakespeare was right all along, to be or not to be?
Amazing concept, amazing placement of blood, etc. It's so real... so unbelievably real. A well-deserved DD.
I still can't place it into words... you, good friend, have stunned me.

I have an older brother two years older me. In the gap between our births, my mother was pregnant with a girl they were going to name Marina. we've only really talked about it a couple times but I know it was horrible for her, now more than ever. You've helped me understand my mother more and it's beautiful. I personally love the over-done factor. If things weren't sometimes over-done we wouldn't have nearly as many good dramatic pictures. I'm crying while I write this and I know I"m not the only person your mastery has touched (made obvious by all the comments). Thank you.

This actually touches me deeply. I went through a miscarriage not too long ago and it was very frightening and heartbreaking. This conveys the situation perfectly, however sad it may be.

This is a very striking photo....I found it while looking for art that reflected the loss of a love (i.e. getting dumped), but I couldnt resist taking a closer look once I saw the thumbnail version.
I think you did an excellent job in expressing pain and loss (physical and emotional), and I do not view it as too graphic or overdone at all. I think its perfect. I concur with Foxfire's comment above.

Yeah I understand it's about fear, the girl is probably a cutter or whatever but seriously I do not think this deserves a Daily Deviation, in my opinion it's just gross. I know thats mean of me but seriously - it looks like she either pooed everywhere or is PMSing.

And once again I say take your time to read the artist comment instead of just guessing.
The picture is not about cutting or self mutilation. It's about loosing a child showed trough a woman who is havin a miscarriage (obviously I have to spell it out for you) But of course you are allowed to have your own oppinion on the picture.
And of course its gross. Its not suposed to be a pretty picture to hang on the wall. A huge part og reality is harsh and shocking, and so will a part of my art be.
