Description EDIT: Thanks to a bunch of suggestions and such, I re-did this piece; the pose is more dynamic and she has her trademark little tongue sneaking out. Made the suit's details more precise/changed some aspects. Also really, really heavily emphasized the glow/lighting effects thanks to a bunch of neat tutorials. The carvings also were updated to reflect closer to the actual engravings found on the AU ball.

The 'AU' in AU ball stands for 'anti-ultimate'. Not 'alternate universe', as I have to tell myself every time, but it might as well be for all those historical figures!

Tried to make cleaner details for the suit but ultimately I think I'm going to have to make an actual reference sheet with multiple veiws. The lines on the floor are supposed to mirror that of the AU ball, to sort of symbolize that the holders themselves are weapons. I tried going for more dramatic lighting/glow effects with the shadows, but I'm still kind of hesitant to go really extreme. Like, perhaps her face would have really obvious neon-green glows but I don't know if I can pull that off yet.

...I must admit, I'm sort of disappointed, since I've been following you for a long time. Didn't you just trace this fanart ? I compared it in Photoshop and it's almost a perfect match...

You would be correct on that; I wanted to use that pose, but I suppose it would've been better for me to try my own hand instead of tracing it.

I'm not going to deny that I used another picture as a base reference; so I guess the only thing I can say is that in the future I will try to be more confident about my own skills rather than relying on base images all the time.

I like her suit, very unique~

But, it would be better and more stunning with a bit of the glowing effects xD
It's okay to be hesitant, but why not try? xD
You can still practice that for like some few attempts~ xD

All in all, it's nice and awesome!

Haha, yeah, I need to look up some more lighting tutorials to get that effect to look good instead of just randomly applying the glow everywhere.

Maybe I'll try it with another piece...
