Day 05 - Chicken
As the sun was setting that day, Sarry was guiding the ruk'ts back into the barn to tuck them in for the night. Most of them were very hungry, so she hurried and opened the doors wide, walking in first as the beasts followed behind, each walking toward its own nest. As the stable master was about to grab a pitchfork, she noticed that the barn wasn't as empty as she thought it was; she spotted her son, Drago'nck, laying against a pile of hay. Three mi'he chickens were sleeping around him, two of them tucked against his sides; the one sitting atop the pile of hay turned to her and cocked its head, before promptly ignoring her and turning back to cleaning its own feathers. She could hear Drago snoring soundly...
With a smirk, she worked quietly, and went back to tending to the ruk'ts. She knew Drago had had a rough day at the forge; he deserved his rest.
