A request at the CMM boards. Mew Zakuro. The only reference pic I had of her weapon was the manga, in which it is only a cross-shaped whipe, unlike the anime, so that's why there's only a little heart in the center. Colored with color pencils.Related content

Great job on this one! Her mark should be a little smaller, though. Love the ears, and the boots are great! I despise drawing feet...Her tail would look better if it went down a little, and the hands need a little work (fingers), but other than that, it looks really good!

I heard that in the Anime, the USA deleted the cross thingies, because it would make a reference to Christianity. Her necklace is supposed to be a cross as well. But that's what I heard. LOVE the pic!

Yup, they totally editted out all Christianity-related things. Kish [Dren i the dub] was supposed to be standing on a big cross in the Church, but they made it look like he's standing on a stick, they cut out the scenes wear Zakuro/Renee was praying, they editted her necklace and weapon...*sighs* If it was good enough for Japan, a country with only about 2% of the people as Christians, why not the USA, land of freedom?

No kidding! And who would have thought, a country where a lot of people are Christian/ Christen/ you know what I mean, doesn't allow people to actually see someone who has faith in their own religion.....

Yup, it's annoying. In another epidsode, they cut out the part where the 4 mews (Zakuro wasn't discovered yet) were bowing to a mountain-god shrine.
Someone pointed out that there are fanatical Christians who would be offended if they saw the crosses in there, but then again, if they take it that personally, why are they watching a show with magic, aliens, and transforming girls in the first place?

Thanks! Actually, the boots were pretty easy, since I sketch the body beforehand. The shorts were my death X_X, so that's why her whip goes right in front of her, I couldn't get her darn shorts to look right...-_-;
