Description
So typically my creatures are projects that I take on after normal work hours.

In other words, I only get from the time I get home from work, picking up my son from school, having dinner, doing homework with my son, giving him a bath and tucking him in, and the time I go to bed to create. This usually means I work on simple creatures.

Our weekends are usually quite busy so I never get as much time for working on creatures as I would like but I usually try more detailed creatures during this time. However today was different...we had no plans!

I pulled out all the stops. Went to my local craft store and stocked up some more fall colors since they were having a sale. As we were stopped for a boba tea, I couldn't get my mind off of those fall colors. So as soon as we got home I started to sculpt.

This dragon is the result about 4 hours later (counting cooling and glazing time). ^.^

I am *beyond* thrilled with it as it was a personal project for myself!!! ^.^ The only other thing of mine that I've ever kept is of course Baby Star Dragon who is like a mascot to me and the first creature I ever created.

This is the first time I have used some crystals in a sculpt and I really like the look of them (oooo shiny) but I confess I feel a bit lazy for not making all those back-spikes as I normally do!

Obviously inspired by a couple other clay artists who have recently made seasonal dragons with awesome leafwork: *DragonsAndBeasties and =HowManyDragons ^.^
