My first maned dragon!! Β Β I loved the way he turned out! Placing all those little hairs took forever!
This is the biggest sculpture I've made so far, standing at 3 inches tall. This guy was a complete experiment, I tried new techniques for the wings and feet, and new designs for the face and tail. I love the way it turned out, but what do you all think??

Awesome job! I love trying out new things when sculpting my dragons. Sometimes it works and you learn something cool. Placing all those little hairs and spikes always takes forever, but it turns out great!

Have you ever considered making scales on your dragons? I've only ever done it a few times, very timely stuff. But it looks great.

I have! I would probably start off with just a few patches of scales, and then see if I would have the patience to do a whole body

I usually just do the neck, being that's my favorite part of my dragons, well head and neck. The whole body takes awhile, but it doesn't take too much focus so you can watch something while doing it

He's so cute! I love the spiky mane - adds so much character! And these colors go so deliciously well together. I like the faint glittery shimmery look of the bronze (copper? whatever color it is, it's cool!) clay. His eyes look fantastic, too. And I love the little claws. I've been meaning to try adding claws to my own thingies, but I always decide to be lazy and never do it. Anyway, fantastic job on this guy! He looks amazing.

This sculpture is interesting in my book. His design makes him look both fierce yet cute and the same time - which is not necessarily a bad thing! Your paint-work is quite great - I cannot see a smudge or a blank spot in there. And the paint and/or glaze you used seems very evenly spread - a feat that I cannot achieve with paint on canvas, not to say I'm very good. 
Again, very well done.
