Um, your brother? Silly Thor, poor Loki he's feeling unloved and unwanted; the Asgardian throne has become more important to Thor than his little bro. I think the real reason Loki is so bitter and angry at Thor is because Thor wasn't there when he found out who was really was, the one person who loved him unconditionally and would consider him family no matter what (well except maybe Frigga) wasn't there when he needed him the most, granted it wasn't Thor's fault but still. He never had a problem with being in Thor's shadow before, probably because as long as Thor was there to protect and comfort him and he felt loved and validated by Thor that's all that mattered. No matter what he says, I don't Loki hates Thor, he loves him and wants his love and attention, he wants his big brother back but he pushes him away and tries to kill him even though he'd be devastated if he succeeded, he has serious issues. It doesn't help that I think Loki's seriously depressed, he tried to kill himself and his mania-like behavior in The AvengersΒ makes him seem Bipolar, add the fact he might have been under some sort of mind-control spell himself and had deadly aliens threatening to torture and kill him, it's no wonder he went crazy.

You know, i actually never blamed Loki. Growing up, he was treated as their son, but as an adult, he's kind of left in the background. Everything is about Thor, and Asgard, and nobody really cares about anything else. Of course he would get tired of it. Who would be able sit in the dark background for the rest of their very, very long life?
