Also, I was wondering if you knew how to do something else in photoshop. I saw a speed paint video on youtube a couple days ago and saw them do rough colorings and such in a few layers, and then they pressed a button and it all smudged and merged together, like a realistic texture, it was crazy! lol do you know of anything like that?

I don't know for sure about Photoshop (I used Paint Tool Sai for this tutorial), but I think that person used "Flatten Image" to merge all the layers into one (right click layers box>flatten image). The way I told you was how to merge layers one by one in Sai.
