"Why were you all alone today?" Creedence asked, swallowing another Puckoo Drop.

"O-oh." Aliza glanced away sheepishly. "My friends just wanted some space, I guess, so I was by myself." She gingerly picked up another chocolate in her paw. "It's not a big deal..."

Creedence guessed that she didn't really mean that. She sounded sad to have been left alone... At the same time, though, he knew he'd startled her by approaching her.

"Hey, uh," his ears drooped slightly, "I know I apologized already, but I really am sorry for scaring you before. I didn't mean to. If you'd rather be by yourself, it's okay. I don't mind."

Aliza looked up quickly. "No! I... I was a little lonely. I'd rather be with a friend." She smiled a bit, showing a tiny tooth.

Immediately Creedence's ears perked back up and he smiled too.

"We're friends, then?"

"Friends." Aliza smiled.

The two wynglings stayed together a few more minutes, the number of Heartkindle candies in the bowl slowly dwindling. They chatted a bit more, and finally Creedence knew he should get going.

"I told my friend Spix that we'd play together later today; I should go find him." He explained apologetically. He reached out and took a Puckoo Drop from the bowl. "This one's for him."

Aliza took one last one for herself. "Alright. Thank you for playing with me, Creedence."

"You're welcome!" He licked a bit of filling off his lips. "We can hang out whenever you want to Aliza! See you again soon!" Creedence waved a bit with his claws before hurrying away with the candy for his friend.

Aliza watched him go. The more she thought about it, she'd been right; sweets were good on their own, but sharing them with friends was better.

Real life has slammed me and I really wanted to make some sort of response to your piece but I just did not have the time :'D
