Hé les potes hope you're having a cool week! Today I would like to share a portrait of an oscure character from an oscure film. And no, is not like I'm fan of drawing unknown characters from unknown films...is just that I don’t know why, but I usually like characters who are cool but also happen to be underrated

I've drawn this one on January 2021, cos I'm fond with this film cos it is wonderful in itself, it has a wholesome and heartwarming story with a great life lession, and cool characters.

But specially, cherish this film and character because, at that time when I watched the film I was having bad times in the personal. And on top of that, I had recently being told my original characters were not good enough by two local publishers I've been been contacted to see if they could publish my stories in form of comics, and that they already had comics and they didn't needed mine.
So I was feeling not very confident with my orginial characters and stories at that time, I felt very dissappointed, and disouraged in general about art.
Even, I was starting to think that art was kinda a silly thing and I should stop doing it, like most of people I knew on my town used to say.

But then, this film, and this character, they came and they were a wonderful inspiration for my original creations to flourish!

There's one thing in particular I deeply appreciate and I'm deeply grateful for with this film; That it showed me the power and the beauty of original exclamation expressions!!!
And taught me how to use them better in my own stories and characters to make emphasis and give more feeling to the character’s phrases without abusing of the exclamation expressions. And give that “wow!” effect I was looking for since a pretty good time.

It taught me as well, that if you have a great story to tell, you can tell it with a limited budget for the animation, music, and voice actors. And a short budget in general. And also, that no matter what story you wanna tell, no matter if it’s simple or complex, no matter how it is...it can be awesome, if you do it with love and have faith in it!

So I told myself, “if a small studio like this one can make a film as cool as this one, and tell a story as wonderful and meaningful as this one, then my original characters and stories also have a chance to live and shine one day! In the furure. ”

And I promised myself no to doubt of my intuition anymore and to keep arting, writting, dreaming, creating, and developping my fictional characters and stories.

And I did it since then. And I’m really happy to have done it!
So even if I have no animation studio to sponsor me yet. I keep working on my stories, sceneries, characters, cos I know one day they will come to life as well!
Although in nowadays, I don't feel like I'd like to share my work with Disney or Dreamworks so they can produce it, but I'd like to work with a smaller studios. They are less commercialized, so I'm sure they are better at giving their artists creative freedom.

So yes, I know probably the fandom for this movie is dead since a long time ago because this is not a popular film, so I don't expect you to recognize the movie or the character and fantalk with me about the flim/character. I just drew this little by little in these days, an share it now, simply cause making art as a little tribute to this character and movie makes my heart happy ^^

Also cos I feel like I've received a lot of goodness at that time, but I couldn’t give it back. Before when I watched the film I did some doodles about it, but I didn't shared them cos they were super ugly and I couldn't draw the characters to save my life! Specially the ears! I couldn't draw the ears XD, but now I'm a bit better at drawing I think, so I hope that with this modest tribute, I can at least start to give back a bit of what this stupendous movie gave me.

…But if you do recognize the film and want to comment about the film and the character I’ll not complain, hehe. Au contraire, I'll be even happier!
