i think there's a Pygmalion in every artist.. at some point we actualy create new worlds.. new characters.. new stories.. and it all becomes alive in our heads.. and i think sooner or later artist finds himself thinking about the story of Pygmalion..so i drew him.. at work

i gues artists just don't draw this storry more often cuz they don't realises how much they have incomon with Pygmalion.. at least at some level

i doubt i'll ever reach that level when i'll be able to draw all my ideals in one single woman drawing
it would need a level of Mona Lisas smile.. where you can actualy see all emotions at the same time.. when smile is alsow a sadness, anger, passion and decadece
but if something seems imposible - it's definietly worth to do it

definitely. And half the time, works that you don't even think about end up turning out amazing! It's all a toss-up in the end. I bet you could do it though!!

as for why they are blue.. i don't know
i had my yellow period before this.. and first cave turned out to be blue.. and from then - it somehow just stayed this way..
i'm a lazy boy and i like things to be simple.. so i make them monochromatic with little accents of yellow or red.. this way i spend less time looking for realistic colors.. wich takes a while since i'm partialy colorblind
besides.. i maybe see less greens and reds.. but i see alot of blue.. and it's my favorite color.. so i realy like that walls in my room are covered with these blue caves
and blue is a color of sky.. of see.. of dreams and hopes.. it's a color of soul.. and since i think that soul isn't inside the person but some sort of spiritual exosceleton - it all makes sence

You're right, i think, about Pygmalion's ubiquity.
Btw, i think the russian "Бабы" is bet translated as "Broads"; Old Hags would be "Карги".
Oh, and great work on the marble texture!

that texture is actualy a brush i made from lonely leafless tree photo

Nu šis variants man nedraud kā tam tēlniekam mitoloģijā.
Jo pat tie savi zīmējumi, kas man patiešām patīk (un tādu nemaz nav iipaši liela daļa no visa, ko uzzīmēju) pēc pāris mēnešiem man sāk likties pārlieku kļūdaini gan dzīvnieku anatomijas, gan krāsu un tehniskā izpildījuma aspektā. Un tad vairs tik ļoti nemaz nepatīk.
Nu, jā, uz reizēm pat pāris mēnešus nav jāgaida, par savu pēdējo zīmējumu, ko pabeidzu pirms 2 dienām jau tagad zinu, kas tur nav kā vajag.
Bet kaapēc tāds uzraksts? Nu par to strādājošo meistaru es saprotu, bet kaapēc zvēri un vecenes pieminētas? Un kaapēc krieviski?

Tu to par studiju nākotnē domā nopietni? Vai arī taapat kā es ar savu ieceri par to, ka man kādreiz būs pasīvā (energoietaupīgaa) māja, kurā būs palmu siltumnīca?
Es taču nemaz neuztveru nopietni VISU. Un ko es varu darīt, ja vienmēr esmu bijusi nopietna? To tā nemaz nevar beigt, lai gan jāatzīst, ka īsti nemaz nevēlos to mainīt.
