This has been an on and off project since the beginning of September (some of you will probably remember the many works in progress pictures that I submitted and teased you with), and it took a lot longer than I thought it would. I'm too ashamed to even begin counting the number of hours I spent working on this.
All done in Painter IX with effects added in Photoshop CS2.
Edit: Brightened the leaves/petals, adjusted the bridge and distant background

Dude, that's brilliant stuff. Firstly, the color scheme you used is really nice; even with the pounding migrane surging through my head I can find it soothing and harmonious. What really makes this picture great, though, is the painterly texture you got with your brushwork; combined with realistic handling of shadows and light, the oily feel of the image is positively sublime.

WOW! The pose isn't really samurai though...it looks more like a kung-fu pose...crane I think. But awesome job on the muscles and the skin tones. And I love the dynamic pose!

U've definately done a great job here! The petals/leaves add a nice touch to the whole piece! The bridge looks a lot better than before. The whole thing looks a lot more hazy than before too!
