Well, what became a half-hearted attempt at salvaging a failed watercolor piece with colored pencils became a project that I have sunk 30+ hours into.
Behold: veela Draco in all his pureblood glory.
If you have a critical eye and happen to notice parts that look more completed than others…I have nothing to say. Just one feckin feather took like twenty minutes. And yes, I know that veela wings are supposed to be white but I’m just gonna pull the artistic license card on that one. He’s a…woodland variety.
Veela!Draco forever.

What kind of watercolors do you use? and what paper? sorry, i'm watching and learning anywhere possible!

i try to use the highest quality that i can find bc pigments are way better if paint is "artist grade". I def have a lot of winsor and newton paint. as for paper, i try to stick with stanford or arches 140 lb and above
