This is gorgeous, but you may want to be VERY careful before using model horses as references. As someone who's quite involved in that hobby I can assure you that we sculpting artists don't really appreciate our works being used like this without our explicit written consent. You may want to e-mail Sarah Rose before using her work.

And you might want to look a bit more carefully before you accuse someone of such things. There are actually a LOT of photos of the same pose of horses, so just because the pose looks slightly like a model horse doesn't automatically mean that I've used that one. So please don't just assume things like that, it's very hurtful. You can check for yourself which references I used, they're not hard to find: [link] [link]

Piaffe! And a fairly nice one at that. Usually there is a little more flexion in both the hock and stifle, though you do have his croup dropped nicely. His conformation would suggest a lower tailset, however, especially considering the angle of his pelvis in the piaffe.
I enjoy the rich colors and the lovely range of tones. It's nice to see the brown in his coat echoed in the bright mane, it really brings it together so that it feels like it belongs to the same animal. Part of me wants to see a little of that warmth in the white markings as well. I know this character is a little more fantastically colored than realistically, but usually pink skin lies beneath white markings and that slight hint of redness should bring in that warmth.
Again, lovely job as always and also as always, if I ever become bothersome feel free to tell me to shut up.

You're most welcome!
People that have been doing Dressage for years don't always know what they're looking at, and you really did do a lovely job on him. *Nodding* As I said, he is in a pretty good frame, relaxed, powerful, and sure of himself; better than some that you see performing in the ring actually, who are tight-backed and croup-high.
Keep up the most awesome work.
